Employee Benefits

At FXUA, we understand the value of our most important asset, the employee. We strive to promote a balance between work and family. We offer a comprehensive benefit package to sustain and enhance the employees’ quality of life. FXUA offers the following benefits to all eligible employees: medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, basic life, supplemental life, an employee assistance program, and 401(k) retirement plan. Additionally, FXUA offers a very generous leave program to allow employees to take time off as needed.

Medical

FXUA offers Medical & Prescription Drug coverage through Anthem that can help you stay well and get treatment when you’re ill or injured.  Our three medical plans allow you to select a plan and a network that best meets your needs and the needs of your family.  Included in our medical plan options is an HSA plan that allows you to put away money, tax-free, toward your medical costs.

Dental

Our Dental plan through Guardian offers coverage for preventive dental care as well as major dental work.  In addition to having a large network of dental providers and comprehensive coverage for dental care, Guardian also provides a Maximum Rollover Account (MRA) for all eligible members to help cover dental expenses in future years.

Vision

For those individuals who benefit from Vision coverage, FXUA helps you keep costs down for eye exams and prescription eyewear with two vision coverage plans: one that is automatically provided at no additional cost through the medical plan and another plan through Guardian that can be chosen as an alternative or additional vision plan.

Disability & Life

FXUA provides Disability benefits to all full-time employees.  Short-Term Disability is provided at no cost and Long-Term Disability is available for purchase for those individuals interested in the additional coverage.  We also provide Basic Life and AD&D Insurance.  Employees also have the option to purchase additional Voluntary Life Insurance for themselves and their dependents.

401(k) Retirement Plan

All eligible employees have the opportunities to make pre-tax contributions ranging from 1% to 100% of their gross earnings, not to exceed the annual maximum, into a 401(k).  Employee contributions are matched up to 4% (100% match up to 3% and 50% match up to 5%).

Employee Assistance Program

Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) gives you and your household members access to free, confidential resources to help you deal with a wide range of issues such as: relationship problems, financial difficulties, legal issues, drug & alcohol dependencies, and more.

Paid Time Off

The amount of paid time off (PTO) available is dependent upon length of service.  In addition to PTO, employees receive paid time off for bereavement, jury duty, maternity/paternity leave, their birthday, and twelve holidays each year.

Tuition Benefits

Eligible employees may have the tuition waived for one approved course per academic semester from the University (maximum of four courses per calendar year).
