Ashley Newell

Professor Newell began her career clerking for the District Court of Maryland, Baltimore City. She also has federal government experience covering the Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act on the appellate level during her tenure at the U.S. Postal Service Corporate Law Department. Later, she worked for a non-profit tax publisher as a tax information specialist, legal editor and writer.

Professor Newell earned dual Bachelor of Science business degrees from North Carolina A&T State University in Marketing and Business Management. She has a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Baltimore and a Juris Doctor degree from North Carolina Central University. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, paper crafting, and exercising.
