Addisu Mengesha is a seasoned and certified trainer with lots of passion to teach at graduate level studies. Over 15 years at University of Phoenix on line and classroom teaching mainly Management, Strategic Planning, Leadership and Project/Product Management courses. He is also actively teaching at Cognizant Academy sharing his knowledge and mentoring mid and c level management In all aspects of Agile transformation and micro-certifications.
He is working as an Enterprise Agile Coach and Agile Transformation Lead at Cognizant Technology Solutions. Addisu holds several professional certifications such as SAFe Program Consultant (SPC5), Certified Release Train Engineer (SAFe RTE), Accredited Kanban Trainer (AKT), Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP), Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and Certified Test Manager (CTM), ICAgile Certified Product Manager (ICP-PDM) Team Practitioner (KTP), and Kanban Management Professional (KMP) with a Doctoral degree In Management and Organizational Leadership (PhD). He has extensive experience in implementing SAFe with great emphasis on Enterprise Agile Coaching and Transformation. He trained and certified hundreds in SAFE practices (SA, AP, SSM, ASSM, POPM, RTE, and many other role-based certifications in SAFe) and Kanban. Addisu implemented SAFe from the start in large accounts such as Wells Fargo, Duke Energy, Windstream, Abbott, Xerox and others.
Prior to joining Cognizant, Addisu worked for Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in modernization of the Citizenship and Immigration Services, consulting on Modernization of Gates Millennium foundation, Connect Healthcare Services, and spent several years in senior management roles for technology companies such as Verizon, Bell Atlantic, GTE, and MCI. In his assignments, Addisu was managing global resources onsite and offshore in Argentina, Philippines, India, and Mexico.
His experience is related to risk management, change management, digital transformation, building CI/CD with cutting edge DevOps and Security implementation. The digital transformation processes implement future proof business agility applying system wide security and reliability.
