Goal

Student Affairs will work with and provide extra assistance to students who either (a) request assistance for themselves or (b) who have been referred by staff or instructors. Our goal is to enhance learning and development for the purpose of improving academic performance.

Procedures

  1. Students may fill out the Student Referral Form for themselves.
  2. Faculty may invite Student Affairs to give a brief lecture on a topic they feel students need.
  3. Faculty and/or staff may fill out a Faculty and Staff Referral Form and Student Affairs will contact the student and make an appointment. Faculty and/or staff must make the student aware the referral has been made to the Student Affairs Office.

Follow-Up

If a faculty or staff member requests a student to seek additional assistance to improve academic performance, the Student Affairs manager will provide feedback on the areas addressed. If the student does not show up for an appointment, the faculty and/or staff will be notified.
