Post Graduate Employment

Fairfax University of America (FXUA) has career-oriented programs aimed at helping eventual graduates to have skills that employers are looking for. As such, our curriculum development process seeks feedback from actual or potential employers in order to tailor our curriculum around the needs of the field. FXUA measures its success in part on the success of its graduates after program completion. As such, we monitor our students from the time that they complete their program until they are employed.

In addition to group trainings/workshops and information sessions, FXUA employs a career coaching model whereby we work with students/graduates to design individualized plans to help them be successful in their job search. Our goal is to provide a personalized experience to assist students to be successful in their job search.

It is important to note that FXUA graduates must inform the Career Center of their employment status after graduation. This is important for FXUA’s accreditation and for understanding how success FXUA’s programs are in helping graduates to find gainful employment.

International students are required to complete a supplemental form for the Career Center. We work closely with the International Student Services office, but these are independent offices. Meeting with the Career Center does not mean that you have met requirements related to your international student status. Please always consult the Designated School Official (DSO) in the International Student Services office if you have questions about your status, requirements while on OPT, requirements to be eligible to work in the United States, etc.

F-1 international students only:  According to US immigration regulations, all international students are required to report employment while on OPT.  International students only,  please access the link to submit employment documents: You may be required to provide this information to BOTH the Career Center and the International Student Services Office (ISS).
