Ms. Buras joined Fairfax University of America in August 2019. She is responsible for the administrative and professional functions of the FXUA Library and the Writing, Research, and Media Center. Ms. Buras has 14 years’ experience as a Library Manager. She spent four years with The Art Institute of Washington as the Campus Librarian and ten years with Westwood College as the Regional Librarian. She also held the position of Lead Analyst at LexisNexis, Inc. for four years. Ms. Buras has a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science from National University, a Master of Library and Information Science from San Jose State University, and a Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Ms. Buras is a Certified Professional Librarian in Virginia, a member of the California State Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
