Adjunct Faculty, School of Computer Information Systems
Dr. Qamar Munawer received his MS in Computer Science and PhD in Information Technology from George Mason University. He has more than 20 years of teaching experience and more than 10 years of IT industrial experience. As an adjunct faculty, he has taught at Strayer University and Northern Virginia Community College. He has also served as a senior instructor in the Education Department of Sybase, Inc. where he taught courses on design, performance and tuning, internal structures, and administration of relational DBMs. He has also taught courses on Replication Server and Sybase IQ. He is a Sybase Certified Database Professional and SQL Developer.
Dr. Munawer’s research interests include information security, database management, access control, and cryptography.
