Fairfax University of America Approved as Registered Education Provider by
Project Management Institute
Fairfax, Virginia, USA – November 2nd, 2015 – Fairfax University of America (FXUA) today announces that the Project Management Institute (PMI), the world’s largest project management member association, has named it as a Registered Education Provider (REP) effective October 1, 2015. REPs are organizations that have been approved by PMI to help project managers achieve and maintain the Project Management Professional (PMP)®, Program Management Professional (PgMP)®, and other PMI professional credentials. These organizations have met PMI’s rigorous quality criteria for course content, instructor qualification, and instructional design.
Project managers are increasingly turning to REPs for certification training and maintenance, especially since global median salaries for the profession now exceed $81,000 (USD). FXUA’s School of Business offers various graduate-level academic and certificate programs to individuals who are determined to excel as project managers and to meet the industry demand both locally and globally. The programs include Master of Science in Project Management (MPM), MBA in Project Management, and Graduate Certificate in Project Management. The programs are aligned principally to the core processes and knowledge areas found in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) Guide. Students gain in-depth analytical skills, stakeholder communication techniques, strategic planning, and implementation skills, as well as managerial and leadership insight.
